HISTORY

Top Mountain Gear was founded in 2016 by Manoj Khadka. After eight years’ experience as a salesman at an outdoor clothing store, V-Tex International, he saw an opportunity in the market for high quality outdoor clothing at an affordable price. The idea of establishing an outdoor clothing brand came to mind, as there were a lot of fake branded clothes in the market. Although these were sold as replicas of the originals, they were very poor imitations. In general, manufacturers supplying outdoor goods had no idea of quality control or alternative designs for outdoor clothes and gear. And they were expensive.

Since then, TMG had been supplying mountaineering down jackets, sleeping bags and more. We have sold to well-established trekking agencies, individuals and we hire out gear too.

Today, TMG is manufacturing and supplying high-quality outdoor and casual clothes and is continually creating new products with distinctive features, luxury styles and plus size garments to reflect current fashion trends and consumer needs.

 





MARKET

TMG is currently supplying to retailers throughout Nepal, the EU, the US and Australia. We anticipate retaining these markets and promoting our brand even more widely both at home and abroad.

Our primary target market has been aimed at people engaging in outdoor activities such as trekking, backpacking and sports activities. However, the quality of our products and their affordability has resulted in their appeal for everyday use in the broader market for both outdoor and indoor wear.

This has resulted in the manufacture of a more extensive range of clothing to include lounge wear and high street fashion garments, as well as the production of warm school uniforms.

As we have been manufacturing for all price ranges and weather conditions, we can supply everyone, from the high-altitude trekker to the city dweller requiring a fashion garment.
